If you have had the pleasure of viewing the amazing large scale murals at North Hawai’i Community Hospital and Waimea’s Parker Ranch Center, you get a sense of the scale and extraordinary work by local artist, Marcia Ray.

Inspired by Hawaii’s natural beauty, Marcia has been living and painting in her home studio here since 1977. Her body of work spans oil painting, water colors, wood block prints, mosaics, and standing art screens.

Along with her well-known murals and original artworks, Marcia has developed a unique style of creating prints from hand carved wood panels inspired by Pacific Islands tapa techniques depicting sea-life and botanical patterns.
