More Open Space for the Big Island

The Commission for Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources has added more select spots on the Big Island to its annual priority list. As funds become available Kapanaia on the NE side, Keawenui on the leeward side, Pohiki Bay in Puna and Hamakua Springs in North Hilo will be added to the wish list, in addition to three lots at Kaiholena and the “lighthouse” on the North Kohala Coast pending negotiation.

Flumin’ Da Ditch Opens Again

Flumin’ Da Ditch reopens in North Kohala.

One of the North Kohala treats that was unfortunately closed due to the earthquake back in 2006 is once again ready for action. Kohala Ditch Adventures (formerly “Flumin Da Ditch”) opened this month to the public.
